Three Shopping Tips For Women Hunters

For women who love to go shopping, searching for hunting clothing may seem like any other shopping experience. You go to the store, you pick an item you like, you try the clothes on to see if they fit then you bring them to the cashier to pay for them.

Then again, one should know that there are certain things to be considered when shopping for hunting gear. For one, the clothes must be fit for your hunting activities. Hunting would entail you spending a lot of time out of doors and so every woman would need the kind of clothes that will keep them warm and protected while they are braving the wild outdoors. Here are a few factors that women hunters can keep in mind while shopping for their hunting clothes and gear.

* Comfort first. When going hunting, you will be exposed to all the elements and a few extremities. There will be no hard roof to shield you from the heated rays of the sun and from the sprinkles of the pouring rain. Yes, the weather can be most unpredictable especially if you are outdoors. In either case (heat or downpour), you will need clothes that will keep you well protected but are comfortable at the same time. Bring light and soft colored shirts that you can wear on hot days. Avoid bright colors like neon or orange. Wearing these colors could invite unwanted attention from beasts in the wild. You came to be the hunter, not the prey, remember? To avoid attention, soldiers usually dress in camouflage. You may want to have these too. With camouflage clothes, you can move through the woods without easily being seen. Moving on, take a pair of jackets or coats with you. Evenings in the woods tend to be cold and chilly. You will definitely need something that can keep you warm.

* Caps on. As mentioned, you will experience a mix of hot and cold weather when hunting. A good and sturdy cap is one good thing that can offer you protection in the outdoors. The heat of the sun can get to you and you cannot always shield your eyes by just raising your arm. Choose a cap that can protect your eyes without obscuring your view. If you are going to areas where there are a lot of mosquitoes, you may opt to get a hat that has a mosquito face net for added protection. Just a side tip, you may want to bring mosquito repellant lotion to protect your skin from their stingy bites.

* Personal kit. Most women have their cosmetic kits in their purses so that they can retouch their makeup wherever and whenever. For hunting however, women would need to always have the essentials within easy access. This includes a basic grooming kit, a whistle, a map and a compass. The last three items being vital especially when she would get lost in the woods. She can call her team's attention with a whistle and be able to find her way back to camp with a map and a compass.
